This was a stunning victory for American jobs passed with the leadership of Leader Pelosi, Minority Whip Hoyer, and Financial Services Ranking Member Waters against the opposition of the Republican chair.
A rare forced vote discharge petition has only passed the House 5 times in the last 85 years.
Kudos to all 218 members who showed up to vote on a vacation week Friday afternoon to sponsor the discharge’.
This is how democracy is supposed to work for the American people !

Obviously you need some GOP members to go along. Maybe there are still a few reasonable backbenchers we never hear from because they don’t make good copy and aren’t allowed anywhere near a leadership position.

a symptom of the utter dysfunction on the GOP side. Probably wouldn’t have happened if a strong Speaker were in place.

Democrats were against it ten years ago when the GOP was for it. Now the GOP is against it, and Democrats are for it. I’d rather tax dollars go to promoting the general welfare than lining the pockets of CEOs at Boeing.

Not sure whether the Export-Import bank is a good thing without a lot of research, but this might be one of the first votes of a GOP split.
