Given Ben Carson’s latest excellent addition to all the enlightened statements being made by GOP presidential candidates, I’m sure he would agree that the onerous gun control laws that existed at the time hastened the extinction of the dinosaurs. They clearly had no way to defend themselves.

That’s why he is so unconcerned about common sense gun safety laws that would prevent homicidal maniacs from buying assault weapons.

when asked if he had ever confronted a gunman he replied that he had been threatened at a Popeye (restaurant) ‘establishment’ and that he ‘bravely’ directed the assailant to the cashier.
What a gutless fraud !
Another case that cries out for less profile and more courage.

He is saying what the entire party and their base thinks, and swing voters can hear this and recognize how extreme their position on gun control really is. These are not wide eyed leftists, Shannon Watts, who I had the pleasure of being on a HuffPost Live panel with (thanks to David!) is suburban mom from the Midwest and a Fortune 500 executive. She is not a birkenstock hippie, she looks like the very counties in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Illinois and New Hampshire the Dems will need to win to keep the White House and take back the Senate.
In any debate he is the loon and she is the face of moderate mainstream America. And this helps make that debate, moving a lot of the ‘don’t care it doesn’t effect me’ crowd into the pro gun control column. And it’s not just victims families like mine, but a growing list of concerned parents and everyday Americans who value their freedom of assembly, freedom of worship, and freedom of speech not to mention their right to pursue happiness and education over the extremist interpretation of the 2nd amendment favored by the NRA and its lackeys in Congress. The tide is turning, and if it sweeps away enough lackeys it could have an effect.
