Trump wants to ban all Muslims…

from entering the US.  In a speech in South Carolina tonight he went from crazy to bizarre.

He even wants to ban  American Muslims traveling abroad from returning home to the US.

  1. Narrator: Where will he go next? This phantom from another time, this resurrected ghost of a previous nightmare. Chicago? Los Angeles? Miami, Florida? Vincennes, Indiana? Syracuse, New York? Anyplace, everyplace, where there’s hate, where there’s prejudice, where there’s bigotry. He’s alive. He’s alive so long as these evils exist. Remember that when he comes to your town. Remember it when you hear his voice speaking out through others. Remember it when you hear a name called, a minority attacked, any blind, unreasoning assault on a people or any human being. He’s alive because, through these things, we keep him alive.

  3. Do customs officials ask each person getting off an airplane in New York if they are a Muslim? What if they simply say no? Will they still be banned if they have a Muslim-sounding name? Do they have to submit some sort of proof that they have never been inside a mosque? What if they say they are not personally a Muslim, but some of their best friends are Muslims? I’m looking forward to what I’m sure are Trump’s well-thought-through answers to this.

  4. Other than Bernie, the lot keep banging war drums. Then there are economic issues, human rights, various and sundry scandals, illegal surveillance, police crime, drug issues. And on and on…

    What politician wants to wade into real issues when they can dance with the Mr. Hyperbole? Say the wrong thing and polls drop. What politician wants to bring up police crime and incur the wrath of the police unions and management? Or, “Hey America!, I’m gonna send more of your kids to die for our colonial wars.” So much easier to bluster about another candidate.
