Former Senator (for those of you who blinked at the wrong moment he filled a vacancy between the death of Ted Kennedy and the election of Scott Brown) and DNC Chair Paul Kirk has endorsed Bernie Sanders, drawing a connection between money in politics and lack of fairness in our society.
Please share widely!
I really like Paul Kirk. He seems like a standup guy who means what he says. I know we disagreed with him on Cape Wind, but he was a really good party chair and a good Senator.
I’m sure Sanders is thrilled about this.
Things are getting more interesting in this primary, that’s for sure.
As a Bernie supporter, my focus has been is to bring more volunteers into his campaign. That number is what is the game changer, and the greatest endorsement a candidate can have.
So I hope if Senator Kirk wants to truly endorse Bernie, he will roll up his sleeves and also put in the effort to elect him.
State Senator Eldridge showed the strength of his convictions by car pooling up to NH last week to knock on doors. That is the kind of help a campaign needs to be successful. Bernie’s campaign has been working under the radar, and has been dismissed by people who should know better. Now HRC is using falsehoods to attack him, and the media is paying more attention to him.
I will be watching Sunday to see if Hillary persists in using questionable tactics, and how Bernie will handle it.
Thank you Senator Kirk. Hope to see you on the campaign trail.
By the way tonight in Beverly,at the Italian Community Ctr, 302 Rantoul St, 7p to 11pm, there will be a “Bernie Bash” with cash bar, snacks, and a band. Come meet your fellow volunteers or come to sign up. Let’s make the political revolution a reality. For other events go to http://www.map.berniesanders.com and fine somewhere close to you to participate. Don’t just believe, do something!
the second part, is, well., it’s campaign season. So someone is offended and someone has the moral high ground, blah, blah blah.
But agree that endorsements are useless, it’s not the 60’s or 70’s anymore when maybe they carried a little weight. I was glad to see a Sanders supporter acknowledge it since you really need to take a look at the endorsement primary at FiveThirtyEight if this is something that anyone cares about.
Who’s next Ed O’Reilly?
endorsed neo-fascist ‘THE DONALD’ yesterday.
Just sayin. đŸ˜‰

I was all ready to do a separate diary on that when I heard that Trump spoke at a Portsmouth event hosted by Brown yesterday, but on further investigation discovered that Brown had hosted similar fora for several other GOP candidates.
my vitamins!
I watched the end of Trump’s remarks where Brownie was standing next to him and just assumed he had endorsed him. Trump was butt kissing Scotto on his quack snake oil diet BS.

We should not forget that Donald Trump sold supplements himself for some years. Donald Trump’s scam (“the Trump Network”) bought into an existing scam ( Ideal Health”). All of it was just another pyramid scheme, promoted by deceptive marketing practices, dishonest advertising, and all the other earmarks of a scam.
These two deserve each other. Both exemplify the intellectual bankruptcy of today’s GOP.
