Today’s the day! Get out there and vote, and tell us what you’re seeing. If you’re hearing from friends in other Super Tuesday states, let us know what they have to say too.
Some cities and towns do a more aggressive job than others about removing political signs that are put up at the polling locations too early or in places for which they’re not allowed.

The sign was in our front lawn away from the road. No chance the town took it. Sign protocol is pretty well established in Amherst. I would like to give the benefit of the doubt, but even given the high winds last night, I see no alternative theory than that it was deliberately taken. It may have been a drunken yobbo rather than a Sanders operative (or it could have been both), but I’m pretty pissed off about it.
Christophersays
That was an annual wink and nudge meme at my university campus that ran very competitive (often more intense than the real world it seemed) races for student government. It was always interesting to see how the wind only targeted certain candidates’ signs, but not others:)
Jasiusays
There were many reports of wind damage and gusts in the 40 to 50 mph range across the state from after midnight until 7am or so.
cephmesays
I actually saw a downed satellite dish and trash cans all over the place this am near me so can confirm the 3am wind. 😛
Turnout is the usual. I think the suburbs will go big for Bernie, the big cities for Hillary.
At the Bernie Sanders rally last night in Milton, he was inspirational. Bernie spoke about how special our New England tradition of Town Meetings is – and how that is the best form of doing politics. Old crusty guy that I am, still had the distinct feeling he was speaking to me in the whole crowd with that comment.
I was wrong. Hillary did quite well in the suburbs, actually. Good for her.
betseysays
I voted for Bernie with my heart *and* my head! I hadn’t been this excited to vote since casting my vote for Elizabeth Warren in 2012!
doublemansays
Sadly, my vote for Warren in 2012 was pretty much the only time since starting to vote in Peabody in 1999 in which I was excited for a candidate who ultimately won the election.

Saw the Somerville ones myself outside of City Hall and the Highland Ave senior housing. Brookline signs were spotted by a friend.

One Cruz sign and one Trump sign appeared in Hadley last weekend. That’s been the sole GOP primary activity I’ve seen. There was a Hillary visibility in Northampton Sunday at noon. Lawn signs in Amherst were about 50-2 Sanders over Clinton in my estimation (now 50-1 until we get a new one).
A noticeable number of Sanders buttons around UMass, Amherst, and Northampton.

FWIW, there’s been one Donald Trump sign at “Fast Phils” barber on Mass Ave in Cambridge for some time now. For those who know the individual in question, it says everything that needs to be said about the supporters of Donald Trump.
merrimackguysays
is not the candidate of Republican elites and the donor class. Furthermore, many of his positions are not acceptable to those groups. Not only that, his social conservative credentials seem fabricated. It’s going to be interesting.
I’m going to have to get going on that post we discussed.

I was voter 68 at Waltham 9-2 at about 745 this am. A bit light but we are by far the smallest precinct in voter turn out in the city. No signs from any campaign. Just our ward selectman out there pressing the flesh.
fredrichlaricciasays
I voted for Hillary at 10am at Precinct 3 where the vote count was 161.
I was able to get an illegal Republican sign holder moved back from the front door in violation of the 150 foot rule. Damn, was he pissed. lol It made my day 🙂
As I walked away from the Con I just shrugged and said : ” Sorry man, but the law is the law” and smiled at the boob. Wow, if looks could kill ! He threw a hissy fit. 🙂

in Medford 6-1. No line, but a steady stream of voters. No sign-holders outside. Seemed pretty calm.

That’s pretty big here.

In Somerville 5-2. The school where I vote was open as usual. No signs at all.
The most dramatic element was realizing that a two-family across the street in not particularly bad condition has been torn down, apparent to build more luxury condos.
I want to know … does ANYBODY build or sell regular (as opposed to “Luxury”) condos? Could I maybe forgo the central air, granite countertops, and bathroom jacuzzi in exchange for about $100K off the sticker price? Just wondering. 🙂

Interesting legal question given that Bill is in and around the polling locations.
If he is, then a lot of politicians have violated the rules today waving and talking to their constituents near the polls today. I saw a few at the 150 ft point from my poll this morning and I actually think it is good to have them around to answer question on a day when folk will be thinking politics.
Of course I don’t blame Hillary for this. But if we can’t even acknowledge that the law was broken, then that is pretty disturbing.

Interesting, a person with a CNN badge conducting an exit poll.

not just about today but the runnup.
Complete radio silence from Team Clinton.
I have never missed an election—special, primary, local, absentee, I always cast a ballot. Campaigns know this and chase me in season. We voted for Clinton in 2008, and told the campaign that we were, if anyone is keeping track.
We have been Sanderized to a fare-thee-well the past 2 weeks. Doorknockers, doorhangers, fliers, the whole thing.
But from Clinton? Crickets.
Weird.

Sanders at 7:45. I was hoping for an exit poll, but no such luck.
Turn out was huge in Granby. We have an override for a school building project on the ballot. When I was there at 3:30, we’d already had 1500 voters. We only have 4300 ir si. After talking to people and being talked to, I left at 5:30. Traffic was still very steady.

in Cambridge around 3:00. Went with my inner underdog.
There was a trickle of voters there then, no signs.

Of those that are open some do a better job than others keeping voters away from students.

Our town moved three precincts out of school locations this year. 2/3 of the polling locations are now non-school buildings.
davemb says
One or two youthful low-information voters there at 9:02 a.m. along with some of the usual suspects.
One disappointing thing — our Hillary lawn sign, one of only two I know of in Sanders-heavy Amherst, got stolen last night.
