Especially with my old teacher and neighbor Joel Patterson in da house.
I’m still getting over a cold, so I could not make it this time. I managed to get through the whole winter without a sniffle, and then we got the spring snow storm and with it, a respiratory ailment.
We had a great time, full of lively and friendly conversations. I learned a LOT about local politics tonight, and look forward to more.
I want to offer a special thank-you to Denise Provost, who was able to join us this evening after being forced to miss the earlier two.
Let’s do it again.
For EB3 being a bit of a mystery man has seemed to be part of his brand. Did he in fact show up at this event and identify himself, or is this his usual chain-yanking?
First, there have been several suggestions that EB3 may be a “she”.
If EB3 was there, he or she did not identify himself or herself. The question of whether any of us knew who EB3 was did come up, with several attendees saying something to the effect of “You mean you don’t know?”.
There were 10-11 of us last night. I enjoyed talking with each and every one. If one of those present also blogs as EB3, I offer my hearty, enthusiastic, and sincere congratulations on maintaining an excellent prank for years.
In that spirit, here’s a friendly question for EB3 — would you mind describing the setting for us? How many tables, where in the room, how the tables were arranged, something along those lines. Extra points for mentioning what I was drinking. 🙂

…all three editors denied knowledge of EB3’s identity.
I heard both David and Charlie say the same (denying knowledge of EB3’s identity) at earlier Stammtisch’s. Neither were present last night.
And that’s all I’ll say about who said what last night. 🙂
