As soon as Bernie bows out and Liz Warren gives her the nod Hillary will then be able to do what she does best: take care of Hilary and the hell with everyone else.
If you BMGers do not want Hillary giving you the political middle finger early in her reign you better keep a foot or two on her neck as long as possible.
Attention progressives. Hillary is a not good person. She hurts more people than she helps, She ain’t right i tell you, she ain’t right. But we can’t let Donald Trump or most other Repubs take the presidency. So the strategy is enough people will vote for Hillary and hope for the best.
Yet David, Bob, Charlie and others not only want us to vote for her but they want us and trust her too.
WHY THE HELL SHOULD WE TRUST HER?
Exactly. Only a fool would. So we hold the leash as tight as we can for as long as we can so she can’t give us the middle finger until we get some concessions. It’s not a matter of if it’s when she’s disappoint most her supporters. Bringing this to a vote will force Hillary to be held accountable on a few things important to true progressives.
Be careful what you wish for.
(Bonus. A pissed off Hillary is funny. Very funny. Like Gerry Ford being clumsy, JFK chasing tail, George W. being stupid, and Millard Filmore having OCD. Hillary always being pissed and yelling at her staff is comedy gold)

Hillary is millions of votes ahead of Bernie, what F’n primary contest have you been watching? At this time tomorrow, the calls for Bernie to suspend will begin in earnest.
johntmay says
Is that your point? You don’t need me and my ilk voting for Hillary, canvassing for her, phone banking because you folks have millions more votes? Okay. Thanks. I was looking forward to a break from all that this year. Maybe I’ll take a long vacation. You don’t need m help.
johnk says
Please, the point is that the votes in the primary show a winner. Do you think that the primary does not show a winner?
Everything else you are making up.
johntmay says
Game’s over and you don’t need me. As I said, thanks. I’ll have a nice relaxing summer and fall.
johnk says
the Democratic party held a primary. What’s difficult here?

…and yes, your vote in the general would be nice. Surely you know the difference. I always argue that candidates at this level hardly “need” to be elected personally. Hillary will do just fine for herself if she loses, but the rest of us aren’t going to like four years of the alternative.
eb3-fka-ernie-boch-iii says
Hillary has the votes.
Why worry about Bernie?
Funny how the Hillary people are spending so much time and effort trying to get Bernie to drop out when we all agree he can’t win.
eb3-fka-ernie-boch-iii says
Isn’t that obvious Mike. So much so that I understand your concern.
I understand your concern. You don’t want me to speak for others that post. But if any reasonably educated person reads my posts they naturally and correctly assume I speak for everyone.
You should talk to Charlie, David, and Bob about this Mike. Maybe they can do something about me speaking for everyone and people knowing I speak for everyone.

I know it’s futile to mention ratings, but I’m not sure how a clearly sarcastic, jocular comment merits four downrates.

Because about a year ago, I don’t remember the exact date, nor am I going to waste my time plowing through old EB3 Post to find this drivel, we were told that Secretary Clinton was only in her position of Senator and/or Secretary of State because she “sucked Bill Clinton’s dick”. But God Forbid, anyone actually stand up to the misogyny, I was told to “let it go”. I suggest that the reality of these posts are that EB3 would sing the praises of anyone, and I mean ANYONE,
– White Supremacist,
– Anti-Semitics,
– Rush Limbaughs,
– Eventually, Donald Trumps,
but currently, Bernie Sanders, who are able to insult and belittle HRC on a national platform.
So NO, I don’t believe that you get it, not in the least.
So please, lie down with dogs and see where it gets you.

posts here.
Come on Ernie, this is just dumb.
eb3-fka-ernie-boch-iii says
This is politics and she reasonable people do not trust her. Mountains of evidence to support that.
Giving her the nomination before the convention is handing the car keys to the drunk before he sobers up.
The convention is where you get the most from Hillary.
So yes, these people who want us to give Hillary the nomination before the convention are asking us to trust her.
Inly a foo, would trust her.

…that fighting it this close is the exception rather than the rule, right? Yes, it happened for Dems in 2008 too, but most years it is decided long before the last week of voting.

Why the hell should we trust you? You can’t even, it appears, be trusted to slow down and check your spelling and grammar…

If we try hard enough, we can probably extend our fruitless conversation into the summer. If we are really good, we might be able to drag our bickering into the fall. Who needs Donald Trump when we can keep attacking each other? To accomplish this feat, I have some modest suggestions for prolonging the ridiculous.
1. Take offense.
2. Be offensive.
3. Alienate people who are on your side whenever there isn’t a primary
4. When defending yourself, try to include something that irritates the supporters of the other candidates.
5. Always associate your perceived opponent with the worst of his or her candidate’s supporters.
6. Deny reality, if at all possible.
7. For Hillary supporters: rub it in that Bernie lost the primary
8. For Bernie supporters: talk about Hillary supporters being sore winners and remind them how they better be nice because you’re going to vote for Hillary. Extra points if you can sneak in a right-wing meme without anyone noticing.
9. Whatever you do, don’t mention the fact that the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party is the first woman to be nominated for president by a major political party.
10. And be sure to ignore the fact that Bernie Sanders has and continues to move the Democratic Party to the left and energize a younger generation of voters.
After all, it’s not like there’s a general election. Donald Trump hasn’t done or said anything in at least a day that isn’t worth fighting about.
