Trump wants to be the “law and order” president. (George W. was a self-proclaimed “war president”. How did that work out?)
The Dems plan on having family members of black people slain by police officers speak at the convention.
Cops are pissed. The line has been drawn If you are with the cops you’re pro Trump if you are pro-criminal you are with Hillary.
What it really means is Donald promoting policies that send more federal money to police departments for over-time, more police, more cops, and more power. All unneeded.
He’s buying off the cops and all their endorsements.
He’s gonna need a domestic army for his agenda much more than one to protect us from foreign threats.
But hey, what do we know?
Sure Hillary is not the best candidate the Dems have to offer.
Sure she and her small but powerful clique used fear and intimidation tactics to hi-jack the process and force her upon us. (Like the coach’s son being named starting quarterback even though he doesn’t deserve it and increases the chances of losing by ten )
Sure she has no problem lying and allowing the ends to justify her narcissistic and devious ways.
Sure electing her brings back old and unneeded memories that will be brought up over and over again.
Sure I can go and on with this but I think you get my point.
I encourage all those who absolutely cannot stand the fact that Hillary Clinton is the only other real choice to suck it up and vote for America.
HILLARY CLINTON: SHE’S NOT DONALD
I’s put that bumper sticker on my car. Wouldn’t you?

…that some people have retreated to their respective corners as if either blue or black lives matter, but not both. We should all be troubled by trigger-happy cops; we should all be troubled by targeting cops for assassination. Why is this at all partisan?

The media and the one percent VERY MUCH want this to be partisan. More specifically, they want a race war — knowing full well that blacks will lose, and lose MUCH more than they realize. In my view, it is no accident that allegedly-liberal CNN is headquartered in Atlanta.
I want to be very clear about this. The way to put a stop to this nonsense is for authorities — federal, state and local — to make it VERY CLEAR that police violence against blacks will not be tolerated.
The unfolding reality is just the opposite. The more cellphone videos we see of these encounters, the more we see that police are NEVER prosecuted or punished. My take on this is that police themselves are learning that they have little to fear, and are becoming even more aggressive.
White America rallies around the tragedy in Dallas in way that we have not and will not rally around the MUCH LARGER number of victims of police violence elsewhere.
I enthusiastically agree with your summary of what we should be. My observation is about what we ARE.
In fact, America is many times more troubled by attacks on police. I fear this will get far worse before it gets better — if it ever does get better.

…you are accusing the media and 1% of orchestrating! It sounds like in your view said people might as well don their white robes and hoods!

Family members shot by police to speak at the Dem convention?
Oh boy.
Before that happens, it would be good to clarify one thing. In many cases, people were shot by the police for no good reason – except that the officers were scared, or incompetent, which is in itself not a good reason.
In many other cases, people shot by the police were really attacking the police. The case of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri comes to mind.
The problem is that, in case of people like Michael Brown, their death has been embraced by many Dems, and by many liberal newspapers (NYT, WaPo, Boston Globe) as emblematic for mistakes made by the police.
The press has done, generally, a poor job of separating genuine cases of police violence from legitimate cases.
Many of us on the left continue to have the blinders on, and do not recognize this. We continue to glump together legitimate cases of police defense with clear cases of police abuse.
