When Colbert took his family to New Zealand to see the filming of “The Hobbit” film series, Peter Jackson was able to cast him and his two sons as extras in the Laketown scenes. Afterwards, Peter Jackson gave Colbert one of the official copies of Bilbo’s sword, named Sting. Peter Jackson also suggested that he use Sting to “take it to” the Republicans in the upcoming election. So when he appeared on screen with both Sting and the Captain America shield, my FAN BOY reaction was just over the top. I WAS SO HAPPY!
