Candidate for Sheriff Kevin Coppinger is having a fundraiser at two Republican fundraising operatives house in Lynnfield. What do the Dems on the north shore think about this? The couple who are throwing the event just had a huge event for Charlie Baker a couple weeks ago. I’m disappointed Kevin is turning to Republicans to finance his campaign for sheriff.

Looked at the invite that has you so twisted up…host committee includes former Rep Steve Walsh, Jim Smith, Solimine, Tom Costin, Sam and Rick Vitali…all well-known Northshore Democratic fundraisers…Coppinger is lucky to have that kind of boost …the couple who own the Lynnfield home are the Sevinor’s who own some Alarm Company and are active in Chamber stuff…if Coppinger can get GOP folks to donate to him, why not? More important: Unlike 2 of his opponents who work for the Sheriff’s Department, he is not soliciting and taking any donations from Essex County Sheriff’s Dept. employees…which is a positive change from the department’s
history… good for him. Lastly, I agree with eb: no one here cares about the Essex Sheriff’s race.
Let me be blunt HLPeary, I believe you to be professional political consultant who is aligned with Coppinger. While your firm has not yet shown up on the OCPF reports, it will only be a matter of time.
If i’m wrong, let me apologize beforehand. I’ll be emailing the BMG editors as to who I believe you to be and point out how you have consistently been breaking the rules at BMG with this kind of deception. (Ever since you were schilling for Tim Murray while being paid by his campaign.)
Well this is not the bases for my claim, I love how you disappeared from BMG for a year, then on the first appearance of an anti Coppinger post on BMG, you suddenly reappear, commenting on two different anti Coppinger posts with detailed information on his fundraising.
BTW, is Coppinger going to REFUSE contributions from government employees (and their family members) that he oversees as Lynn’s police chief?
Lastly, given that the Essex County Sheriff’s primary job is overseeing the institution (the county jail) with the highest concentration of people with substance abuse and mentally ill people in the county…EVERYONE should care about this position and how it can address the heroin/opioid problem.
Forget emailing the editors – I say you should publicly put up or shut up if you really have evidence that an active BMGer is hiding something relevant. This BMGer has posted and commented on a variety of topics in the past and has contributed intelligently to our discussions. I’m sure this participant is well aware of BMG rules. Your ad hominem smear is way out of line.
