2nd thing first. I just saw an Yvonne Abraham light weight opinion on Indie Car race.
Can you believe how much lame-o press and finger pointing this indy-car race attempt has generated in out wussie little neighborhood we call Boston?
Some entrepreneurs approach the city and say they want to put on an Indy-Car race that will be broadcast internationally. The mayor says “go for It. I’d like to see it happen.” That meant apply for all the applicable permits and do what what has to be done.
See this is much different than a strip a joint where a mayor says he doesn’t want it but that can’t stop them from applying for permits etc.
It would have been great for the city. Unfortunately the promoters could not deliver. They could not get the necessary permits.
Now the the Globe wants to make this the biggest disaster in the history of the city. What? The Hindenburg was a disaster. David Price is a disaster. The Dan Conley mayoral campaign was a disaster. But this? This is trying to make something good happen only it didn’t work out.
Under this philosophy the mayor would have been wise not to attempt to get General Electric. He may have failed. Bring back Menino.
Now we are worried about herb Chambers and others who didn’t vet this? And god forbid the promoters turn to bankruptcy laws. These so called victims are high-end businessmen who were made to look stupid. Not a crime. Maura Healy should walk away.
Really, all this shows is how desperate the Globe is to have someone step up and take on the mayor. Unfortunately the more they try the less credible they sound.
Our local media really does suck. So full of themselves for being unimaginative third rate scribes in a second rate town.

I see Donald Trump winning this thing. Too bad it’s not about Donald Trump. Hillary doesn’t get it. Most BMgers don’t either.
So lets do the right thing and vote for Bill Weld and his friend. Then we can bring back the bumper stickers. They work for both a Hillary and a Trump presidency.
Vote Weld and the other guy

You once wrote something to the affect that:
I don’t remember the post, nor am I going to go search for it. Now you write:
S’ACCUSE!

A good number of the older folks at church claimed to be swayed to that ticket cause they remembered Bill, wonder if that’s part of a wider trend.

I suppose starting small is not an option when you have Grand in your name, but this seems like an epic of mismanagement. Why even announce until you’re sure you can do it?
I think the Globe‘s interest stems largely from “There goes Marty again.”

. . .the editors would run a 50-word headline over an incoherent rant, and hide the identity of the reporter.
That way everyone would know they were hysterical.

….spell Indy Car three different ways between the headline and first two sentences.
