The main item on the agenda at tonight’s Democratic State Committee meeting was the nomination of eleven candidates and two alternates for Presidential Elector, who are as follows:
- Nazda Alam of Weston
- Mary Gail Cokkinias of Longmeadow
- Cheryl Cumings of Boston
- Dori Dean of Holyoke
- Curtis LeMay of Lowell
- Senator Marc Pacheco of Taunton
- Jason Palitsch of Shrewsbury
- Jacquelyn Ryan of Sturbridge (alt.)
- Donna Smith of Stoughton
- High Sheriff Steve Tompkins of Boston (alt.)
- Marie Turley of Boston
- Parwez Wahid of Framingham
- Paul Yorkis of Medway
Upon their virtually certain election and seating they will have the lifetime privilege of affixing The Honorable in front of their names, and Massachusetts also has the tradition of electors dressing in tuxes and gowns for the occasion.
The only other substantive action taken tonight was adopting a resolution opposing Question 2 (lifting the charter cap).

The resolution in opposition to Question 2 passed, right?

Hence “adopting” as in agreeing to or accepting the resolution, but it was not unanimous either. Plus there was a bit of a spat as to whether it was in order based on both our procedural rules and party platforms.
