Reading the Boston Globe a day or two ago.
First article about the CEO guy from Wells Fargo who is going to lose $41 million and some of his salary, but he’s still a multi-millionaire and he’ll never be able to spend all the money he has. His “contribution to society” was enabling financial sleight-of-hand gimmicks that earned him his fortune. He’ll never go to jail and never ever experience any true financial worries. And we’re happy about this outcome?
Second article celebrated the news that nursing home employees in one sector will be getting $2 a hour raise from their present $11 an hour wage. How does one live on even $13 an hour in the greater Boston area? These people take care of our eldest and most infirm citizens, offering help in ways that many of us could not even imagine and we are happy that now they are going to make maybe $27K a year?
We’ve become completely unhinged from any resemblance of justice and morality.

We’d shut both down real quick once they got out.
