If you want to support Senator Elizabeth Warren’s request to audit President-Elect Trump’s finances for conflicts of interest, the woman who answered the phone at the Comptroller General of the Government Accountability Office said the most effective way to be sure my support counted was to email two administrators, Katherine Siggerud and Timothy Minnelli. Their email addresses are siggerudk@gao.gov, minellit@gao.gov. There is a third email, congrel@gao.gov, through which they are tracking people who were urging support for an audit.
You can send one email addressed to:
siggerudk@gao.gov, minellit@gao.gov, congrel@gao.gov

Re: Audit for President-Elect Trump’s Financial Concerns
Dear Ms. Siggerud and Mr. Minnelli,
I’m writing in support of Senator Elizabeth Warren’s request for an audit of our incoming President-Elect Trump’s finances, to prohibit conflicts of interest that would prevent him from carrying out the responsibilities of the office without corrupt influence.
Sincerely,

STOP WHINING and start typing and calling; it is a start.
Thank you for providing the easy action steps. Action is the only way out of this god forsaken hole.
Thanks for getting this out.
This is an axiom of effective organizing. Or, for that matter, negotiation. Another equivalent gem, which I know to be equally true from my work life, is “Successful negotiation only changes positions by identifying and meeting needs not previously met.” Think about these two things, and evaluate the past election accordingly, please.
Thanks for letting us know about it!
Progressives seem incapable of understanding that the weaponization of processes will someday rebound on them. They call it ‘action’, when to a certain extent it is just ‘When in Danger, or in doubt, Run in circles, scream and shout’ as the nursery rhyme says.
Harry Reid invoking the nuclear option is what will allow Trump to appoint his cabinet. Using the GAO for political reasons will someday trip up somebody you support.
I would say PP has half a point here; I don’t think calling for transparency is weaponizing, but Republicans don’t view the world like I do.
What is the normal procedure? I assume it’s something beyond “Take the President’-elect’s word for it.”
…that nobody knows. So they are making it up as they go. But whatever process they insist is proper will be used on Democrats in the future.
…but they put them in blind trusts and don’t allow them to sway their policy decisions. We know you did not vote for Trump and that’s great. Why are you defending him now? It sounds like you just want to poke Democrats for fun.
Newsweek magazine cover story documents Dumpf’s business interests in Istanbul being held up by Turkey’s President Erdogon who wants the US to extradite his most vociferous critic being held in an American jail.
He’s waiting for Dumpf’s swearing in to cut the deal.
God help us.
