Trump is constantly underestimated. Understandably so, because he couches his strategy in outrageous statements that rattle cages. But he is underestimated nonetheless.
Beware now a Trump move to the left if he is shrewed enough to skip over tax cuts for the wealthy – for now.
If Trump offers a genuinely good infrastructure bill, for example, the Democrats are going to face a true Hobbesian choice: help the country and the economy and cement a Trump victory even while seeing that there was likely collusion bordering on treason with a foreign power, or risk opposing genuinely good infrastructure spending, thereby looking purely political and oblivious to the pain of middle America.
I hope that James Comey acts fast.
