I hear a lot of demand for more affordable child care, presumably to allow mommies and daddies to spend more time working in the employment of others (which we all know from experience over the past four plus decades, means more wealth transferred to the 1%. ) and NOT more time at home with their family as they sub-contract the care of their children to others.
How much does a Childcare Worker make in Massachusetts? Childcare Workers earn a median salary of $24,980 per year, or $12 an hour.
So how do we solve a problem where a vital service, the taking care of our next generation, pays so poorly and costs too much?
I have a few ideas, if anyone wants to comment first.
