A couple of vacancies have opened up per email today from the state party:
We have two open caucus seats for the DSC: Male Seat in the Hampshire, Franklin, and Worcester State Senate District and a Male Seat in the Norfolk, Bristol, and Plymouth State Senate District.
All candidates must file a letter of intent that is hand delivered, emailed or mailed to the Massachusetts Democratic Party Headquarters by 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Should more than one candidate for either seat file, a conference will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017.
If it’s easier to identify Senate districts by incumbents these are the Rosenberg and Timilty districts respectively. I have facilitated a couple of these by-elections in the past so I can try to answer process questions if anyone is interested.

I live in Randolph in Timilty’s district. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Start of course by getting your letter in on time as noted above. Reach out to Dem town and ward committee members from the district as they will be instrumental in choosing who serves. A credible candidate is someone with previous involvement in the party or volunteering for campaigns.
