I just saw a Facebook post that made me realize I may be procedurally confused about the possible ballot question seeking to roll back protections for our transgendered fellow Bay Staters. My understanding is that the General Court enacted and the Governor signed a bill providing protections from discrimination in public services and accommodations. Opponents want to put a question on the ballot that would repeal this law. What surprised me is it looks like Freedom For All is encouraging a yes vote, but I thought the question was shall the law in question be repealed, in which case those of us who favor maintaining these protections should vote no. Please advise.

FB is difficult to link to, but here is FFA’s homepage.

The Yes vote is the right vote and would uphold the law. Here’s more.
I agree that it is strange that the anti-trans position is not the affirmative vote since they are the ones pushing for it.
I love the lineup of orgs and people supporting the Yes vote – almost everyone (seriously, that box keeps scrolling for a looooong time), and on the other side just the garbage of the Massachusetts Family Institute.

I guess I forgot the difference between initiative and referendum.
