Jeff Sessions is forming a Religious Liberty Task Force. I’m Catholic and am glad that religious freedom is flourishing in this country. But as a transgender woman I know this is about imposing a set of beliefs on the citizenry and against vulnerable populations.
This is a waste of public money. DOJ should be spending resources investigating real civil rights violations against people of color, LGBT people, voter suppression and other real problems, not chasing imaginary ones. In Congress, I look forward to defunding this task force. #MA3 #MApoli
