Way to go Democrats in the Massachusetts Legislature pushing forward a “Taxes are Evil” agenda with the new “Tax Free Weekend”! Since this is so popular with the voters, why stop here? How about an “Excise Tax Holiday Weekend” for car buyers? Buy your new car on this weekend in June and Save The Excise Tax for the year! June is the slowest month for car sales and since we are all about helping business succeed in Massachusetts, this will be a win/win, yes? After that, how about a “Pay No Property Tax” sale for real estate sold in January or December, two of the slowest months of the year for realtors? This will bring a huge boost in profits to Realtors many of whom are big donors to the Democratic Party.
How do we make up for the budget shortfalls? We simply raise fees on the citizens of the Commonwealth and we cut back on things like the maintenance of bridges and garages and roads and funding of schools and addiction services and aid to the poor…….and all that because taxes are evil and Democrats in office need to serve the business community!
