According to the Wall Street Journal, “The night before Juan Guaidó declared himself interim president of Venezuela, the opposition leader received a phone call from Vice President Mike Pence.”
Does anyone know if there is a transcript available of this conversation? If there is no transcript, can we get notes from any translators?
While we’re at it, can we get a summary of contacts between US officials and Venezuelan opposition figures? I don’t want to jump the gun here and declare that we have been meddling in the internal affairs of Venezuela. But there is already a counter narrative being formed that the Chavez/Maduro government caused all the country’s problems by being too much like Elizabeth Warren.
We should get this sorted out. How about starting with the Pence/Guaido transcript?
