News broke this evening that US Rep Tulsi Gabbard has said she is running for President in 2020. She is a veteran, and the first Samoan-American and first Hindu to serve in Congress. She resigned her DNC vice-chairmanship to endorse Bernie Sanders in 2016. If elected (which I’m not at all confident would happen) she would be the first President younger than I am and I’m not sure I’m ready for that yet.
