An actual picture of downtown Boston (North End) on a perfect Summer Monday morning workday three months ago the day after President Banana announced ICE raids. My friend said everyone he knew felt like they were in Nazi Germany and had to stay inside because they were terrified of being held in cages with no heat.
My new country.

Is the North End known for its undocumented population?
I don’t mean to sound too cynical, but there were streets in the North End that looked like that every Monday morning at least since 1974 (when I came to Boston) — long before the ICE or their despicable raids.
I always felt that the quiet had more to do with weekends filled with hard partying, eating, and drinking than anything else.
So far as I know, there is literally NOTHING open on Monday morning on many North End streets.
There are far more compelling images of ICE abuse than an idyllic North End street on a bright summer morning.
