Pretty sure I read elsewhere that she would be seeking the Democratic nomination, which would fit her issue and belief profile. I’m sure she’s a fine person, but I don’t feel someone with my involvement level should have to ask “Who?” about a candidate for Governor.

When someone announces, while carefully not saying party affiliation, it’s always a headtipper for me.

Well there was that obscure Deputy Assistant US Attorney General that announced shortly after the 2004 election that he was exploring a run for the 2006 race for MA Governor. He certainly garnered a big “Who?”. That guy ran (badly) for President last year, so he got somewhere in life.

Prof. Allen is a distinguished political scientist at Harvard, is running as a progressive Democrat, and was a key thinker behind the Ranked Choice Voting campaign. She has a great life story too.
Here’s a clip of her talking to Ezra Klein about the radicalism of the American Revolution.
