Thanks, so do I.
Been involved with local ag since the 1970s and was extremely lucky to work with Mel King on the issue back then. We’ve known what to do and how to do it for decades but we, in the general sense, don’t have the imagination or the will to do it.
My friends at New Alchemy Institute had the data to prove the possibility of providing all the fruit and vegetables for a family and more on a suburban lawn by the end of the 1970s. Now some reputable soil scientists say we could reduce CO2 in the atmosphere to preindustrial levels (280ppm) within a few decades if we did globally and consistently what we know how to do with a wide variety of soil carbon sequestration techniques that work at every scale from a single flower pot to thousands of hectares.
