Senate Democrats meet every Tuesday for a weekly caucus luncheon, where they discuss and set their legislative priorities. It’s imperative that they hear from us about the need for structural democracy reform legislation BEFORE they go into these important meetings. Call your Senators on Tuesday ( TODAY ! ) before lunch and let them know you want them to fix the filibuster and fix democracy.
This Congress, Senate Republicans have already used the filibuster three times to block the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act from passage despite the fact that Republicans are in the minority in the Senate. These critical democracy reforms are widely popular among both Democratic and Republican voters and would expand early voting, end partisan gerrymandering, reduce the influence of big money in politics, and more. This all comes as Republican state legislatures across the country are passing hundreds of sweeping voter suppression laws that all but assure GOP electoral victories for years to come.
We cannot continue to let Republicans hold our democracy hostage. We must fix the filibuster to save our democracy. Call your Senators BEFORE their weekly luncheon of Tuesday ( TODAY ! ) and let them know you want them to eliminate the filibuster to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. We don’t have time to waste.

Appreciate the sentiment, though I’m pretty sure Warren and Markey are already on board (and I guess I missed lunch).
