Speaking before the New York State Democratic Convention yesterday, this is how ALL Democrats should campaign this year :
“New York and the country have an important choice to make because Republicans have a very different agenda. Republicans will take tax cuts like the child tax credit away from hard-working families and give them to billionaires. Republicans will claim they’re on the side of parents and family values but they will do nothing for actual parents or families, nothing on childcare, nothing on paid leave, nothing to help working moms and dads to get by and get ahead. They will do nothing to invest in our schools or make college more affordable. They’ll ban books but do nothing about guns. They’ll make it harder for people to vote but make it easier for big corporations to bust unions. They’ll let polluters trash our environment and let Donald Trump trash our democracy. That’s why I intend to work my heart out to elect Democrats up and down the ticket this November.”
“When the Republican party officially backs violent insurrection as legitimate political discourse. When storming the Capitol, assaulting police officers, trying to overturn an election, are being normalized we are in unchartered territory. And make no mistake. Our adversaries around the world are watching. Republicans are defending coup plotters. They’re curbing voting rights at precisely the moment when democracies need champions.”
“By the way, they’ve been coming after me lately, in case you might have noticed. It’s funny. The more trouble Trump gets into, the wilder the charges and conspiracy theories about me seem to get. So now, his accountants have fired him. And investigations draw closer to him. And right on cue the noise machine gets turned up, doesn’t it? FOX leads the charge with accusations against me, counting on their audience to fall for it again. And as an aside, they’re getting awfully close to actual malice in their attacks.”

Thank you, Madam President. I’m still with you, Hillary!

I would much prefer Congresswoman Katie Porter deliver this message. I do not see the benefit of Secretary Clinton injecting herself into this. She is far too polarizing a figure and Democrats would be wise to try a different image for the party.

I couldn’t disagree more. Secretary Clinton speaks the truth. To those who can’t handle the truth, I say… FUGEM.
fredrichlariccia says
DUMB FUX fake news went from attacking Hillary hundreds of times a day to 2 times yesterday AFTER she said the “M” (malice) word. The bull-shevik factory is terrified she’s gonna sue their sorry, lyin asses.
fredrichlariccia says
The DUMB FUX already face a $1.6 BILLION $ law suit from Dominion Voting.
johntmay says
Yeah, that was a great approach in 2016.

Everybody knows that “ordinary” Americans despise a strong, smart woman who doesn’t mince words.
Right?
johntmay says
Quite the contrary, According to one poll I found on NPR on most admired women in the USA:
I can’t find any list that places the former secretary at the top five, or even the top ten.
The problems with Secretary Clinton are varied, even Senator Warren had a hard time with her, and of course there was those connections to Goldman Sachs.
Maybe if Secretary were more open and consistent with her words, things would be different. There should be no doubt to any Democrat who wants to actually win an election that an association with Secretary Clinton is not going to sway the uncommitted or independent voter.

The last time Hillary Clinton ran for public office was in 2016. She is not running for any office today. Neither is Michelle Obama nor Melania Trump. Ms. Harris is already Vice President.
Ms. Clinton continues to be a favorite target of the rabid right, including of course Fox News. Ms. Clinton is also very popular in her home state. Was there some part of “Speaking before the New York State Democratic Convention yesterday…” that was difficult to understand?
Ms. Porter represents Orange County, CA. You would have us believe that the Democrats who met for their annual state convention in New York would prefer Ms. Porter to give the keynote address.
Once again, you appear to be using “uncommitted” and “independent” to actually mean listens-to-Fox-News-and-leans-Trump (not to mention white). Once again you repeat Fox News talking points.
I’m pretty sure that an entire room full of New York Democrats — and an overwhelming majority of New York voters — very loudly disagrees with you.
Christopher says
This was the NY convention. She and her husband are the most prominent Dems residing in the state. I’m pretty sure she won NY overwhelmingly when she ran for President and she was twice convincingly elected US Senator.
fredrichlariccia says
And she won 3 million more votes in 2016 than Putin’s Whore.
