The prayers of the entire world are with the people of Ukraine tonight as they suffer an unprovoked and unjustified attack by Russian military forces. President Putin has chosen a premeditated war that will bring a catastrophic loss of life and human suffering. Russia alone is responsible for the death and destruction this attack will bring, and the United States and its Allies and partners will respond in a united and decisive way. The world will hold Russia responsible.
I will be monitoring the situation from the White House this evening and will continue to get regular updates from my national security team. Tomorrow, I will meet with my G7 counterparts in the morning and then speak to the American people to announce the further consequences the United States and our Allies and partners will impose on Russia for this needless act of aggression against Ukraine and global peace and security. We will also coordinate with our NATO allies to ensure a strong, united response that deters any aggression against the Alliance. Tonight, Jill and I are praying for the brave and proud people of Ukraine.

Strength and Honor, Mr. President and God bless you and the heroic people of Ukraine.
I just learned that Kyiv was being bombed, giving lie to claims of just peacekeeping in border provinces.
The lesson of WWII teaches that if you don’t stop a bully now, you’ll have to stop him later.
“Trump is angrily denouncing a President right now on Fox News, and it’s not Putin.” Michael Beshloss
“It’s almost impossible to believe he exists. It’s as if we took everything that was bad about America, scraped it up off the floor, wrapped it all up in an old hot dog skin, and then taught it to make noises with its face.” Anthony Citrano
Getting rid of Trump was the easy part. Repairing the damage he has created is mind-numbing. As Harry Truman put it, when informed of FDR’s passing : “I felt like the moon, the stars, and all the planets had fallen on me.” Thanks Joe Biden — we’re behind you 100%. Jonathan Gaffney
“There is no purgatory for war criminals. They go straight to hell.” Ukrainian UN Ambassador to Russian UN Ambassador
“The world is united against Putin. This is a fabricated conflict that could have a massive human toll, all spurred by the delusional aspirations of a weak dictator.” Senator Ed Markey
“The West tried to find a peaceful solution in Ukraine, but Vladimir Putin rejected diplomacy and chose war. He is solely responsible for the unprovoked bloodshed in Ukraine. He will be held accountable before Russia’s next act of aggression.” Rep. Seth Moulton
Polish Americans who represent huge constituencies in several battleground states like Michigan and Ohio are already connecting US unwillingness to depose Putin’s Whore with Vlad the Impaler’s raised confidence to destabilize the US. Puti had to hope that waiting to invade Ukraine during a Democratic Administration would further divide the country against Biden. But I think these fascists miscalculated and this war is going to bite Pukes in the ass in the mid-terms as patriots rally to support our POTUS and a free Ukraine against Puke traitors.
W looked into Putin’s eyes and saw his soul. Trump looked and saw his mentor. Biden looked and saw an evil killer to which Putin replied : “We understand each other.”
Every Russian American asset has just been FROZEN by POTUS. The screws are tightening on the fascist oligarchs.
“Putin is on a personal jihad to restore the Russian empire.” Senator Mark Warner (D-VA)
“I put as much stock in Trump calling Putin a genius as I do when he called himself a stable genius.” President Biden responding to a question on the Useful Idiot calling Puti Pu ‘savvy’ and ‘genius’ amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for President Biden and the Democratic Party to take the image of “Patriot” from the Republicans and claim it as their own. Trump withheld military aid from the freedom loving Ukraine people and praised Putin. Biden needs to make that point clearly during his state of the union address.
Unfortunately, the world is not yet united against the wealthy class that Putin represents. It’s funny how we in the west will denounce the Russian 1% as “oligarchs” while we call our 1% “Job Creators” and turn a blind eye as they “donate” to our political candidates. In the UK, there is a calling for the confiscation of Russian assets but there is also a concern by many that doing so will alarm the Saudis and others in the 1% to take their sheltered wealth somewhere else.
