Senate Democrats just passed the Inflation Reduction Act with Vice President Harris casting the tie breaking vote.
President Biden said: “I ran for President promising to make government work for working families again, and that is what this bill does — period.”

Gas is under $4 in many parts of the country. Unemployment is at historic lows. But my hunch is that the “liberal” media will limit news of such things to page two, below the fold.
Democrats should be singing the praises of Biden on both stats plus a major climate and health care bill and a gun control bill. Not bad, not enough, but it’s also much better than what we thought even a month ago and the best we can get with our narrow majorities. We need to blame Trump’s 25% tariffs on Chinese goods for many of these inflationary pressures and call those tariffs what they are: a tax in working class consumers. Time to cancel them and renegotiate a better deal with China.
And we would always be better off tooting our horn than whining about what didn’t happen.
