I put spinach in the title to get your attention. It’s explained later.
Now is the time for gathering and helping Martha Coakley get elected to the U. S. Senate. We haven’t had a BMG volunteer event since the 2008 election.
I’m spending most of my volunteer efforts out in the ‘burbs, but on Tuesday I’m going into Dorchester for the DSC meeting. There will be a phone bank prior to the meeting. After the meeting starts people can either observe the meeting or continue on phones.
So it seems a good time to suggest a “BMG phone bank.” It’s near public transportation, there is food, there will be at least a few state wide candidates and then there is the option of observing the DSC meeting. Someone told me once that DSC meetings are an acquired taste, like spinach. And best of all, other than picking where to go out afterwards, there is no work to set this up. The MDP says…
The next DSC meeting is scheduled for January 12th at 7:00 PM at the SEIU 1199 at 150 Mount Vernon St., Dorchester, 02125. Refreshments will be served at 6:00 PM. We will be phonebanking at SEIU 1199 prior to the meeting for Martha Coakley from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. To rsvp contact Brian Muldoon at bmuldoon@massdems.org. This meeting is open to the public.
Please note that there are multiple Mount Vernon Streets in Boston. This is near the JFK/UMass Red Line Station.
DSC members who openly blog here include John Walsh (John from Abington), Deb Butler (AmberPaw), Michael Forbes Wilcox, Matt O’Malley, Sue Kennedy, Arthur Powell and I’m sure there are many others. So make some calls and check it out.
And thanks for the graphic!
