“Democrats who may run include: former State Senator Guy Glodis, now the sheriff of Worcester County; Boston City Councilor Stephen Murphy; Patrick’s labor secretary and former state representative Suzanne Bump; and State Senator Marc R. Pacheco.”
Yeah, I saw those – but I wondered if BMG’ers had any other names to throw in the mix.

p>It’s funny – I never had a problem with DeNucci – although I think I voted Green last election as a symbolic vote since he had no republican competition – but I am excited to get some fresh blood in Mass. Democratic politics. Or at least a little upheaval.

p>With the Senate seat along with Governor, Treasurer, Auditor and perhaps AG, it should be a fascinating season.

With the smart money still being on Coakley to become Senator and Cahill bolting the party and running for Governor, both AG and TRG nominations are open. Caucuses for state convention are less than three months away!

Might draw me back to. I was thinking about voting in the Baker-Mihos showdown if everyone else was just facing nominal opposition.

“Our Guy” Sheriff Glodis will run for auditor, Rep. Lew Evangelidis will run for Glodis’s seat as Sheriff of Worcester County, leaving Evangelidis’s 1st Worcester seat open for grabs. Of course, the towns in the 1st Worcester are Holden, Hubbardston, Oakham, Princeton, Rutland, precinct 1 of the town of Sterling and the town of Westminster and aren’t exactly what you’d call a political fulcrum. Look for the Evangelidis seat heir to come out of Holden if all that falls into. Just sayin’.

Seems a logical candidate for Auditor in what could be a crowded field.

p>Joe DeNucci will be missed. A champion for human services when he chaired that Committee in the House and a fighter for taxpayers as Auditor.
