He may think our Commander in Chief should be caricatured as Osama bin Laden, but G.O.P. Congressional candidate Bill Hudak’s campaign has decided to try to draw a line under reports (“Hudak asserts that Obama was not born in the United States but in Kenya, according to affidavits that he made available to the Tri-Town Transcript” — WickedLocal) he is also a birther. Dan Kennedy has more background on the matter here.
In a web video and statement titled “Is Bill Hudak a Birther?” dated tomorrow (August 27) but posted today on his website, Hudak makes his case. YouTube here.
I suppose this goes to show there is hope for change for all of us.
Hudak posted this yard sign and another similar one, in front of his Boxford house before the 2008 election. He removed them after police relayed complaints from neighbors.
Interestingly, Charlie Baker has supported Hudak by saying inspirational words at one of his campaign events, where he was photographed on stage with the candidate (“We were thrilled to have Charlie stop by, say a few inspirational words, and help unite those in attendance to work hard all the way through election day”, Hudak wrote on his blog on 19 July), then apparently attempted to deny that he attended the event, and at the moment, amusingly, appears to be holding to the line that he hasn’t even thought about who he might vote for in the Republican congressional primary in the 6th District … where he lives.

his campaign just released what is perhaps the single worst video I have ever seen.

Especially enjoyed the first 13 seconds, bold choice to run the footage in reverse so the lady in the background walks backwards through the room…very mysterious. Prediction: there will be midgets and/or a talking log in one of Hudak’s future ads.

I ask because that IS the time ‘shortly before the election’ that Bill Hudak put up his tasteless sign.
<
p>But the steady implication here is that only TEAPARTY PEOPLE or CONSERVATIVES use such images.
<
p>That implication had annoyed me as I thought of all the Bush caricatures I had seen over the years, but I didn’t see the point of going through archives – you knew it, and dismissed it as irrelevant, and that was then anyways.
<
p>But fresh today is a new IMAGE of a sitting State Representative. But it’s just accepted that Democrats can do these things because…well…they DESERVE IT. And it’s TRUE. (I especially like the comments on the thread about how to intimidate people with the ‘wrong’ political signs. Not that a Democrat would EVER do such a thing.) And before you say it’s an obscure blog, well, you link to it often here and use it as a source for election scandal.

But there’s a difference between an anonymous blogger creating such an image, and a person who is running for Congress.

My only point is that this street DOES go in both directions.
