Appalling, really. A caller to Howie Carr’s radio show yesterday asked Charlie Baker if he was still backing Jeff Perry in light of yesterday’s bombshell revelations.
Baker, apparently, could not care less about whether Perry is lying about his role in the strip-search of a teenage girl. He never even acknowledges that it might perhaps be the teensiest bit of an issue. Not one single word. He just drones on and on about getting spending under control.
This is yet another reason why people don’t relate on a human level to Charlie Baker. Because you ask him a question like this one, and he doesn’t respond like a human.

Not one word about the victim, the idea that children shouldn’t be molested, or the thought that people vote for their leaders based on their positions on a range of issues.

p>The perpetrator in this case confessed to his crime, for pete’s sake, and Charlie Baker won’t even acknowledge that there is an issue worth discussing. Maybe he thinks the whole thing really isn’t that big a deal. RedMassGroup may agree: their two threads on Wingman Perry have 100 collective comments but can’t seem to make it to the front page.
<
p>It will be interesting to see how the corporate media covers this story: if they note Baker’s position, or ignore it.

He does like chocolate chip cookies, but 14 year old girls getting molested …. couldn’t care less.

I doubt not that there are serving members of Congress that are at the same moral level as Mr. Perry – and worse. Shouldn’t the citizen’s responsibility be to prevent further decay and weed out bad stuff already there?

p>Where’s the outrage? What passes for government is no better than a reality show. (Maybe you get more justice w/Judge Judy)
