During Deval Patrick’s press conference yesterday, he said he’d learned there’s a sizeable deficit looming in the state budget.
Just Sunday, Healey said , “Our administration found a $3 billion budget gap, and through sensible fiscal restraint made it a $1 billion budget surplus.”
My question is, what happened to the billion dollars?
Was she (gasp!) lying?

that was the Legislature’s billion dollar raid on the rainy day fund – in sunny weather. Other such maneuvers are still pending.
