I have spent the last 30 minutes trying to google the exact quote you attributed to Jim Ogonowski from the 9/6/07 Boston Globe and have been unable to find it. Jim has never used the word indefinitely to describe our involvement in Iraq. In fact it is Ms. Tsongas who believes we should remove the bulk of our troops yet leave a small amount in theater indefinitely. Please provide a link to back up your claims.

So the Globe “characterized” yet Jim Ogonowski has not used the word indefinitely ever yet your quote is attributed to Jim Ogonowski. That Ms. Tsongas and team is dishonest, and more of the same bunk you’ve been putting out this whole campaign.
<
p>
Jim Ogonowski has said that the troops should come home when there is a stable Iraq. That is not indefinitely unless you believe Iraq can never be stable. That is your problem, not mine.
laurel says
what is his definition of “stable”? how will we/he know that that moment has come? until he defines his nebulous terms, he is essentially saying that the gig is open ended.
<
p>
remember, bush has been saying “just 6 more months” for years now, and nothing has improved measurably, and no one is coming home in the foreseeable future. in fact, progress is happening in reverse, since he started the whole debacle with that big “mission accomplished!” photo-op on the destroyer. if ogonowski can define “stable” in a way that makes me believe that he isn’t going to just pull the same “just wait a liiiitle more and it’ll all be good” routing, then he’s worth listening to. otherwise, he just looks like more of the same what we got in the white house.

Why delay hundreds of soldiers from seeing their families in order to film a campaign ad, when you can prolong the tours of thousands?
tblade says
But..but..Jim Owgonowski says the exact opposite:

Someone’s being dishonest here. And I don’t think it’s Tsongas.

coming off a plane. Or least federal troops? I mean seriously why is there a Tennessee flag in a MA political add.

Katie,

A weeks worth of saturation on broadcast TV in Boston costs roughtly $400K.
<

Since you have $240K cash on hand as of 9/26/07. How exactly do you plan to pay for this ad to run?

I’m trying to count up how many places you’ve posted this new line of attack. Are you paid Ogo staff at this point?
tblade says
If not, Ogo should ask for his money back.
laurel says
in his recent diary, Ogo isn’t spending the few dollars he has managed to raise. This indicates that if EaBo is paid by the campaign, it is on a contingency basis. Kinda like the car dealer model, I suppose.
eaboclipper says
I was paid on the McCarthy Campaign in 2002 as Opposition Research. Sometimes you can’t teach an old dog new tricks as they say. But the truth is the truth and Tsongas had a dismal post primary performance in the fundraising department, and has required National Dems to rescue her.
laurel says
rescuing Ogonowski?
david says
it is Jim Idon’tknowski.
