A Friends of the Earth-produced radio advertisement endorsing Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards will start airing today. The prominent environmental group says Edwards has the best global warming position of any candidate.
Edwards’ plan: capping greenhouse gas pollution by 2010; cutting emissions by 20% by 2020, and 80% by 2050; signing a global climate treaty; and creating one million new jobs through renewable energy investments funded partly by taxes on polluters. Nuclear energy would not be part of that portfolio.

Thank you for the welcome! Great site.

when he talks about capping and reducing, does this include US interests abroad? and does it factor in emissions during freighting stuff here that was produced elsewhere? i’m sure these loopholish details have all been addressed somewhere. if anyone could provide links, i’d be much obliged.

Way to help spread the word about John Edwards and his positions.

Interestingly, according to the Pew Research Center, only 31% of Democrats even know that he is running for president.

The media blackout of Edwards is a shame for the people who really desire to see our country transform in a new direction.
