Request for where and how to volunteer for Niki Tsongas on October 16th

October 15, 2007 By AmberPaw 3 Comments

If you know sites for phone banks, or ways to hook up and help for even an hour, could you post these HERE so anyone who can grab an hour in Boston, Concord, Wayland, where ever knows where to go?  Thanks!!

It’s all about GOTV. If you are looking for ways to help, call the HQ and they’ll direct you to where you’re need/convenient for you.

There are a bunch of Boston phonebanks. Senator Kerry’s at the MTA. IBEW Local 103 has one. AFT on Chauncy Street has one.

And I think the AFL-CIO in Malden has a phonebank also.

The highest priority is door to door.  If you can get out to the Fifth CD, please do so.

The “BMG Canvass” will be at the Acton HQ, easily accessible by commuter rail from Boston. Address is 136 Main Street, Acton.  It is at the South Acton station on the Fitchburg line. Canvass teams will be dispatched at 10 AM, 2 PM and 4 PM, but feel free to arrive when you can.  As a regular BMG poster, I figured I could just arbitrarily declare that it is the BMG Canvass since that is where I’ll be.  😉

      Other canvass locations are:
Lowell, 26 Market St, Tsongas Campaign HQ
Lawrence, 265 Essex St, Tsongas Campaign office
      Haverhill – 145 S Main St

      <

      p>
For those who can’t get out to the Fifth or prefer to phone bank:
      Phone Bank Locations:
      Boston – 20 Ashburton Place — 10 am – 7:30 pm
      Quincy – 15 Cottage Street, 4th Floor — 9:30 am to 8:00 pm
      Lowell- Wannalancit Mills – 175 Cabot St , 5:45 – 8:00 pm
      Acton – 136 Main St – 9:30am – 8:00pm
      Lawrence – 265 Essex St , 9:30am – 8pm
Haverhill – 145 S Main St, Law Offices of Bill Cox
      Dorchester – 256 Freeport St, IBEW 103 9am-8pm
      Methuen – 184 Pleasant Valley St, 9:30am-8pm

      <

      p>
If you haven’t called in advance, it is always a good idea to bring a cell phone and charger.

Gross for sure is the microaggression of undermining & insinuating that a highly qualified & experienced Black man who is already doing the work is incompetent, untrustworthy, lazy. This racism should be beneath non-Black progressives. But sadly we know it’s not. #BosPoli #MAPoli

“I feel as though Hayden should not be the one to prosecute this case — after all I feel he’s only doing it because the case was investigated by . . . the Globe” he said “Had this case never come to public light, I feel I would have never gotten justice.”

@RicardoNArroyo That’s racist, Ricardo. Stop using racist tropes about a “lazy, incompetent Black man” when we all know that DA Hayden is doing EXACTLY what he’s supposed to be doing by law. Enough of this #BosPoli pig pile on the Black candidate. It’s really gross. #mapoli
