In addition to the pending legislation, the Senate is preparing to release a health care cost control bill. Those who care about this should contact their state legislators to make sure these provisions are included and to ask for their support of House 2197 and Senate 1238.
Health Care For All is working with a Boston-based group called the Prescription Project (http://www.prescriptionproject.org) to launch a prescription drug cost control campaign. Contact Prescription Project or Health Care For All to get involved.

p>For what it’s worth – IMO the pharmaseudical industry ought to be nationalized and extremely tightly regulated at that.

So long as (a) the state is paying for/subsidizing the health care of many, and requiring other folks to enter into a contract with a private company to buy insurance, the state damn well ought to be working to lower the overall costs of health care to it’s citizens.

p>Kudos for choosing people [and the state budget] over marketing gains in a market where consumers have so little choice over when they need the product or just what product they need.

I happen to be impressed. A real non-Satan inspired piece of legislation? Can it be true?
