Several months ago as I looked into the future tempest when the Governor announced his support for casinos I thought, “geez, a win:win for the state would be passing the Municipal Partnership Act and a No on casinos”.
The Governor would win, the Speaker would win. And most importantly, needed revenues would be attained without destruction to environment and towns under the heavy weight of large class III casinos.
Maybe we are on the way to seeing Democrats figure out how to work together for the greater good. I have more hope at this moment than I have had with politics in a year. If Deval and Sal can….maybe Hillary and Barak?

to what extent the whole weird Casino thing is just a stratagem, a gambit, a bargaining chip to push the legislature on revenues generally.

p>I don’t mean that Patrick doesn’t really want casinos, though they seem like a spectacularly bad idea. One that has not been promoted particularly deftly, either.

p>But maybe at the end of the day its just part of the sausage factory.

Apologies for misspelling the first name of the next(!?!) POTUS.

Not after tonight. Pennsylvanias biggest Hillary supporter, the governor, played another race card. Couple that with Obama blowing her out of the water—as of tonight she will become a footnote.
