The information for the 7th Congressional District [also known as “Congressman Markey’s District”] is as follows:
The caucus’ to select delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Denver will take place on Saturday April 5 at 1:00 pm.
For the Seventh Congressional District, as a result of the February primary, delegates are apportioned as follows. There are two male and two female delegates and one female alternate to be elected for Hillary Clinton, and one male and one female delegate to be elected for Barack Obama.
The Clinton caucus will take place at Woburn High School, 88 Montvale Ave, Woburn, and the Obama caucus will take place at Minuteman Regional High School, 758 Marrett Rd, Lexington. Any registered Democrat [I presume who resides in the district?] can vote at the caucus, but you must be in line on time to be permitted to vote.
Both caucus’ need volunteers!
if you would like to volunteer for the Clinton caucus, please contact Carol Donovan [contact Deb Butler at AmberPaw@aol.com and she will forward your information]
if you would like to volunteer for the Obama caucus, please contact Merna Victor [contact Deb Butler at AmberPaw@aol.com and she will forward your information].
There is information as to the caucuses to select delegates in the other Congressional Districts at:
http://www.massdems.org/index2…
The information [not quite as detailed as what I provided for the 7th Congressional District] is located at “MDP Events”. If some of you are running, and looking for votes, or have “who to contact to volunteer” in your congressional districts, why not add that information in comments to this post?
Disclaimer Note: I am not running to be a delegate for this National Democratic Convention.

7th CD female candidate for Obama delegate
I am running to be an Obama delegate in the 7th Congressional District. For slate voters, I have paired with long-time party leader Bob Colt. I’d be honored to have the support of fellow BMG readers and bloggers.
<
p>Who I am and why I’m doing this:
I’m the quintessential grassroots activist. Got involved in politics after W was elected. Inspired by Howard Dean’s internet campaign, grassroots appeal and questioning of the Iraq War. I organized Meet-ups, hosted events, joined Move On and consumed tons of news to make up for lost time. Oh yeah, donated lots of money. Helped Kerry taking groups to NH and local fields efforts. Worked Copley event on election night…very depressing…I hate losing! Ran Winchester Caucus for Deval Patrick and was asked to get involved in campaign. I helped with Community Meetings, Convention, field, Innaugural, election night etc. (Roger Fiske et al). Have recently worked with the Obama advance team, and sit on the campaign’s steering committee in New England. I organized field efforts in the district in the Mass Primary.
<
p>Obama impressed me with his 2004 convention speech in Boston and he has lived up to my expectations throughout this grueling campaign. That he was right on Iraq is important to me because I got that one wrong. Bush had me hoodwinked too. Obama has the intellect, charisma, cool under pressure, leadership skills and rare ability to build the Democratic party and unify the country. At Obama events I have worked the crowds, seen the lines, talked to his supporters (and they come in all colors, ages, incomes and religions)something is different this time. I have two kids and believe I have to be involved in the politics that will shape their future.
<
p>Why Denver? Why me? I think we need a delegation of people that include more than elected’s and party insiders. And this convention has to be more than back slapping and rewards for hard work.. we have not even begun the hard work of this campaign. I would be honored to represent the voters of the 7th and those who worked so hard for Obama’s message in the Primary.
<
p>I will a be tough-minded, engaged, respectful, enthusiastic, thoughtful, persuasive and a hands-on delegate that contributes ideas for the good of the Obama campaign and the good of the Party. I’m a good talker and can work a room with the best of them but I’m also a careful listener. I want to make this experience all that it can and should be. I’ve been to a lot of nice parties, this should be much more than that.
<
p>This is a historic election, a once-in-a-lifetime candidate and a critical time in our country. We have to get it right this time.
<
p>One more thing, if you send me to Denver I promise NOT to wear any goofy hats on the convention floor.
<
p>Thanks for your consideration!

Do you have the breakdown of delegates for the other congressional districts? The Green Papers has this information for most of the states that have voted but not for Massachusetts yet.

Clinton got 58% of the vote, once you exclude the votes for minor candidates and ended up with 55 out of 93 pledged delegates, which is 59%. So despite the inordinately complicated system used for allocating them, it came out proportionally right. Thanks for posting that data.

10th Congresional will have 2 Romney, 1 McCain Delegates and equivalent alternates. No gender, age, weight, height, affinity, ethnicity, race, creed or ability status required.
<
p>In fact, we could send all male or all female delegations, but it’s based on who shows up to vote.
