Democrats Jim Cantwell, Mike Maresco, Jim Gillmore, and Independent Jim Valianti have entered that fray.
According to Secretary of State William F. Galvin’s office, eight Democrats, two Republicans, and one independent have taken out papers to run for two seats on the Plymouth County Commission.
Among the Democrats are incumbents Jack Riordan of Marshfield and Jeff Welch of Abington; Laurie Maker of Halifax, Anthony O’Brien of Plymouth, Tony{?} Zaccardi, and Brady, who has abandoned this seat to run for Kennedy’s House seat. Republicans are Ronald Davy and Tom Gorman.
Taking out papers for the open register of probate post in Bristol County are six Democrats, two independents, and one Republican.
I have listed Democrats David Dennis, John O’Neil, John Rodrigues, Roy Santos, Linda Pereira, Gina DeRossi, John DeJesus. Richard Urban is an Independent and Robert Heroux a Republican.
In the only statewide race, two Republicans, Jeff Beatty and James Ogonowski, are vying for the right to face US Senator John F. Kerry, who faces Democrat Ed O’Reilly in the Sept. 16 primary.
