How about that — a happy ending! The DNC did a review of its state blog-credentialing process for the convention in August; and has made amends by giving credentials to some inexplicably-omitted blogs: Blue Jersey and The Albany Project, among others.
All three of your editors signed an open letter asking for such a review, and we're pleased the DNC took the opportunity to let these great blogs in to the convention.

It still relegates BlueJersey and TAP to the general blogger pool, which means they won’t have the favored access to the state delegations that we, for example, will have. Instead, in the case of NJ and NY, that access will go to “blogs” that are really internet offshoots of MSM operations. I mean, Ben Smith of Politico runs the state-credentialed NY blog, for God’s sake, and the New York Observer owns PolitickerNJ.

p>Still, it’s better than nothing.

I know there is a war in Iraq, a fiscal crisis, a credit crisis, disgusting income disparity, unspeakable environmental degradation, etc. but now that this most important and critical issue has been thoroughly addressed I feel as though we can move on those secondary issues listed above. /sarcasm
