Over the last eight years, we’ve seen what a lack of curiosity and independent thought can do to the country. And, bringing the focus back to McCain, we are seeing the promise of what an utter lack of curiosity and interest in domestic policy looks like.
“Curiosity” is a high-falutin’, bi-coastal, elitist term. But “caring” isn’t. The McCain/Palin ticket hasn’t cared enough about important issues to get familiar with them. Prop them up with talking points and cram sessions all you want. You can’t convince me that they’ll care about those issues when they get into office.
One of the ways you demonstrate you care is by educating yourself.
Ezra Klein makes the point more eloquently.
