Sad but true. The disposition agreement that resulted in a $10,000 fine for Dianne Wilkerson also required that she file two written policies with the state Office of Campaign and Political Finance by September 2: a policy for contributions and a policy for written record retention. According to the OCPF files, she filed neither by the deadline. Instead, the public records show that she filed a “draft” contribution policy a week after the deadline and to date has not filed any policy regarding record retention. Too late to make a difference in today’s race, unfortunately, but isn’t this an issue that someone in government or the media should have been paying attention to??

I’d like a few links. Even if it’s just to what she has released, and an explanation (bonus points for quotes) of what she should have released. I say this mainly because I’m sure about 5 or 6 people are just going to love questioning every single point you make, so you may as well put as many facts as you’ve found right on this diary to start.

p>BTW – it’s definitely not too late. But more the reason to provide quotes and sources, so people don’t say this is a last minute metaphorical drive by shooting.

It’s not a driveby. If it were, it would be in the MSM today. Tough to post links, since it’s the absence of compliance that’s at issue here. If Dianne wins today, it should merit discussion tomorrow. If she loses, we should just thank her for her past service and wish her well in the job search.
