A rather gratifying moment of broadcast television for the masses. Just enjoy it for it’s sheer over-the-top quality, it’s je ne sais quoi, it’s panache:
I also just thought I’d get my new sig line out there so people can start planning for the 2012 (choose one):
a. apocalypse
b. rapture
c. birth of Samuel Jr., Palin’s 27th child
d. all of the above

Lie about businesses, taxes, public policy, or the economy in general during a crucial campaign, and the media will you treat you like a harmless joke.

p>Talk smack about the media, though, and the gloves are off.

the media have the right to police their “own.” Whether or not Sanchez has the street cred to actually say what he said is for others to decide, but what he actually said is accurate and needs saying–by more people than Sanchez.
<
p>Wurzelbacher as “war correspondent” is an obscene affront to the journalists who risk their lives doing what they do. If it takes Rich Sanchez’s access to the airwaves over Thomas B. Edsall’s academic publications, so be it.

I’m troubled by the distinctive whiff of authoritarianism in Mr. Wurzelbacher’s statements.

… is some kind of Platonic form of conservative tribalism. Parrot the talking point and don’t bother with any further thought to implications or consequences. It must be that George Lakoff gets his wings every time the guys speaks.

Joe is what happens when conservatives don’t like what real reporters are saying. Rather than change the news, they get their own reporter.

denizens on this JTP issue? Don’t they want to defend their average guy in the trenches, their on-site plumber?
