Hi All:
While watching the news tonight, Governor Patrick was asked by a reporter, “Can you tell us what you and Speaker DeLeo discussed regarding casino gambling?” Governor Patrick retorted, “‘ I can, but I’m not gonna.'”
It made me like Governor Patrick a little more because it showed he has a sense of humor, something that is severely lacking in our public officals nowadays.

Casinos and gambling will not magically solve all our fiscal woes!
<
p>The Governor is a real down to earth guy. But I still have issues with gambling as a panacea.
<
p>What pol wouldn’t want to tell a reporter, “Yes I know, but I’m not gonna tell you.”
<
p>Go Governor Patrick!
<
p>
…the same time as most of the State House. That is to say, when a lobbyist-authored giveaway bill for casino “investors” is bum-rushed through the Legislature, accompanied by panic-talk about balancing the budget.
<
p>Hahaha.
Major policy being formed entirely out of public view! By a person who was never elected statewide and yet wields huge power and a governor who barely discussed casinos while running for office, yet has made it one of his major goals thus far!
<
p>Hilarious.
I almost blew sugary drink out my nose when he started talking about the tax increase on drinks, “this is a critical first step in discouraging the consumption of these empty calories…” and then, “I think dedicating those funds to nutrition and wellness services is a wise decision.” What a sense of humor.
<
p>So funny, he actually pretended it wasn’t just a blatant tax increase when said it with a straight face. Total deadpan sincerity. Just so, I feel like giving up booze, candy and sugary drinks so that I have more energy to feel angry and deprived.
if you haven’t already.
Maybe take up smoking. Much like giving up booze, candy and sugary drinks, smoking will stop weight gain. Eventually.

Hi All:
<
p>While I was at the convenience store last night, I saw a woman paid $50 cash for her cell phone then promptly paid for a ginger ale and a king size Snickers with her EBT card.
<
p>What’s up with that?
<
p>Sincerely,
