I just checked out all of their websites–thanks for posting the links. I think out of all of them, Higginson’s policy section shows a real grasp on the issues. It was well researched and presented. I look forward to hearing more from him.

for now I am asking about access to justice – frankly, even if the best of laws are on the books, if those laws exist on paper only, and there is no access to enforce or use them to protect, what good are they? Ergo, Article XI of the Massachusetts Declaration of Rights [thank you, John Adams].

Aaron Michlewitz held has campaign kick-off event on Friday night in the North End. For a first-time candidate, he had a remarkably large crowd on hand (close to — if not more than — 100 people were there over the course of the night). Besides the sheer number of people, an interesting indicator of the race’s dynamic is the number of Chinatown and South End residents who attended. It wasn’t just a North End crowd as you might expect this early in the campaign. Aaron’s support is broader than his home neighborhood, a good sign for him and probably worisome for the rest of the field.

I agree: Higginson has an excellent grasp on the issues, and he is refreshingly honest and well-organized… definitely not “politics as usual”. It will be interesting to hear more from him in the weeks ahead.
