I am considering this a “draft budget” with heavy action in the amendments. Mandatory services, that are required by our constitution, are not fully funded.
Core services to the truly vulnerable, that may cost lives, are also not adequately funded or have been totally eliminated. NO good news here.

I’ve already called my Senator regarding some amendments. I’m going to be lighting candles at Arch Street for the next week, I think.
to vote for a big enough tax package to begin to address the structural deficit and begin to stabilize all the important programs that have been cut. And call your own Senator too and tell him/her that he/she has your political support to vote for more taxes, and you are willing to pay your fair share.
