When Republicans talk about wasteful spending, they are talking about taxpayer dollars being used for social programs such as Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security, etc. They would like to see the programs end entirely. When a Democrat talks about wasteful spending, it’s not the programs that are wasteful, it’s the nonsense way the programs are run.
Here is a great example. This isn’t just a health care reform problem, it’s a Medicare problem. This is the kind of wasteful spending that needs to be addressed. It’s not the wheelchair that is the problem, it’s the way the government goes about providing the wheelchair.
We need smart, thoughtful people in our government to pour over all of this waste and FIX IT. I think it’s time to start providing IQ test results when people are running for office. It must have something to do with intelligence. Education and experience aside, an IQ test would give us a greater feel of potential capabilities in common sense.

And I’m further to the right than those mean Republicans.

p>I know I live in a hype-liberal state, and so have given up hope of a more libertarian life. But I’m just as upset at the $1,200 wheel chair as you are. (Except I have a plan to purchase them for $270.)

p>The problem with fiscally conservative democrats is that there are only 9 of you left in MA.
