Let’s join Keith Olbermann’s effort to form a nationwide coalition to fight against the Health Care Industry’s attack on the people of America. It will be interesting to see the ideas Olbermann brings to the table. If we can all pitch in, in whatever way we can, perhaps we can finally gain some power to protect ourselves from these excessively powerful entities that are controlling our government, our country, and it’s citizens.
Health Care Reform: The Fight Against Death” will be a program-length Special Comment by Olbermann, in which he’ll propose group action by patients, and how patients can reclaim the debate over health care reform.

I was channel surfing last night and hit MSNBC during this clip.

p>Healthcare reform is being debated on a different level than we would have hoped for. It’s less about how can we help the American people, and more about how can we please and support the insurance industry. With this unfortunate truth, Olbermann asks an important question…

<
p>He also notes how impossible it is for us to fight against the insurance industry. Boycotting is not an option. Once we cancel a plan, we run a very real risk of never being eligible for benefits again.
<
p>I’m hoping he is able to identify and promote ways we can fight the industry ourselves. This is especially important because our government does not seem to wholly have our backs on this.

Hopefully he has a great new idea. That’s alota hope.

to tell you the truth. He did make some points about the failure of the current system. His solution, I believe, is to set up free clinics in blue dog states in order to shame the Senators into supporting real reform. Makes sense. He says he will have all the details on his website

p>Went there but don’t see anything yet. I will donate to one of the free clinics if he sets up the links to do it.
<
p>I think a better course, or at least an additional course of action would be to continue to call out and shame the health care industry. That, too, will shame the Senators and Representatives who are determined to defend the corporate insurers and allow them to continue the status quo of ridiculous profits from ridiculous premiums for lousy health care benefits.
<
p>The more I hear about the course this debate has taken within our government, the more I believe that I’m about to change my mind. I think the best course of action is to approve universal single payer government run health insurance, and let the corporate insurance industry die a quick and painful death. No worries about all of those lost jobs, they will quickly be hired up as government workers. Except for those at the top of the ladder. They can go broke, for all I care.
<
p>I have always had concerns about single payer healthcare, the mandate associated with it, and having the government in total control of such an important part of our lives. It has become increasingly clear that having our elected officials(at least a significant number of them) work hand in hand with corporate insurers, to the point where the interests of the corporation override the interests of Americans, is looking to have a more frightening outcome than single payer healthcare could ever have.
